Three CSA Standards Are Adopted by the National Standard System

On December 18, 2013, SAC issued the notification of the second batch of drafting and revising the National Standard System (2013), and the State Key Laboratory of Solid State Lighting (hereinafter referred to as the Laboratory) under CSAS is the principal drafter, which is responsible for the drafting of three national standards, namely, 20132655-T-306 Application Layer Communication Protocols for the Interface in Intelligent Public LED Lighting Systems, 20132656-T-306 Accelerated Depreciation Test Method for LED Lighting Products (2000 hours), and 20132657-T-306 Interface Requirements for Application of LED Lighting – Street Light Consisting of LED Module with Heatsink and Separated Control Gear.

The above three national standards are proposed based on three CSA standards, namely, CSA018 Application layer communication protocols for the interface in intelligent public LED lighting systems, CSA020 Accelerating depreciation test method for LED lighting products, and CSA016 Interface requirements for application of LED lighting – Street/tunnel light consisting of LED module with heatsink and separated control gear, which are technical achievements by the Laboratory based on the frist generic  platform program. It is also a reflection that CAS has made use of various advantages to establish various open-style technology R & D and achievement transformation platforms to promote the the development of industrial standardization after a close cooperation through production, study and research.

CSA will start to implement the plan of drafting national standards and compile the drafts of three national standards including request for comments, invite domestic enterprises and research institutes to participate in the work, communicate with relevant parties, absorb their opinions and suggestions and ensure the quality and level of the standards. Therefore, relevant institutes are sincerely welcome to participate in the drafting and revising of these three national standards.
