Led by SKL, the drafting group seminar on Terms and Definitions of LED Lighting for Plant Growth (national standard plan, 20130027-T-306) centralized by the Ministry of Science and Technology was held in Changzhou Institute of Technology Research for Solid State Lighting on July 22, 2014. More than 10 representatives from organizations including SKL, Nanjing Agricultural University, Wuxi Huazhaohong Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd., Xiamen Hualian Electronics Co., Ltd., Philips, Dongguan Institute of Opto-Electronics Peking University, Shanghai Yaming Lighting Co., Ltd. and China Opto-Electro Technology Development Center attended the symposium. Mr. Zhou Xiang, vice president of Changzhou Institute of Technology Research for Solid State Lighting, welcomed the attendance of these representatives. The drafting group had discussed some key issues, such as the change of the standard names, the explanation of light intensity and the principle for quoting standards. Then, the group discussed the draft standard article by article. Next, the group will request for public comments based on the revised draft. Relevant enterprises are welcome to follow and to participate in actively.
